Baby Bears First Christmas

We went over to Grandpa and Grandma Watson's for Christmas day. It was nice to spend the day with them... Grandpa cooked a wonderful meal, we opened presents, sat in the hot tub and then called it a day! A Wonderful Day!

A huge thank you to everyone that sent gifts. We appreciate all the love and support we have had from all of you over the last year. Daddy helped Lydia open all of her presents, while mommy thoroughly documented it. So grab your popcorn, get comfortable in your chair cause here are ALL of them! Thanks again to everyone!
Trudi our neighbor, her sister and kids all went in and got bear a frog that rattles and says "ribbit ribbit"!

Steve and Diane (Family friend of the Watsons) got her lots of cool clothes!

Uncle Thomas and Aunt Trisha sent an aquarium with music, lights, swimming fish and swaying kelp!

Grandma Ross sent Lydia her first baby doll, pull the hat and it plays music! (Daddy was to fast so no pic of the package, sorry)

Cousins Brian and Duncan sent lots of purple clothes!

Grandpa Ross got her a wooden wagon with the wooden blocks to match! I can't wait to be stepping on those!!! My feet hurt already!

Grandpa Watson got her the Grinch Who Stole Christmas! I am required to know all the lines by heart for next year! No pressure! Grandma and Grandpa Watson got her a cute outfit and socks to match!

Little Bear made a picture book for Daddy. He loved it!
The Santa Gift! A Jungle jungle gym!

Hanging with Grandpa

After a long day of present opening she crashed

Today (the day after) Aunt Jen Uncle Monte and the girls present arrived. Bear waited patently for mom to let her open it! Soft animal boxes; one rattles, one squeaks and the other has crinkly ears are what brought out that smile.

Merry Christmas

Christmas begins... a little late but here we are!
Bear was helping me wrap presents in her cool Xmas bib. The ladies at Josh's work got that for her.
Grandma Ross made up some new ornaments for the tree and Lydia wanted to do a fashion show with them. She is all ready to decorate the tree.

Big moment in our history... Baby Bear hangs her first Christmas ornament.... with the help of daddy,

and the second ornament with the help of mommy.

She is giving mom the sideways smirk, she is soo over the tree decorating and we just started!

She was a little worn out but was a trooper and kept helping us!

This is not Christmas but... This is what mom does in a day instead of cleaning or doing dishes!

Lydia is learning to suck on her thumb and first finger. She started it on her own and seems to totally enjoy it. Any time her pacifier falls out in go the fingers. This morning she was having trouble deciding which to do... play with the bird toy on her right or eat her fingers on the left. She kept going back and forth! Sometimes it takes a minute to work the finger in... she needs a professional visit from cousin Brian to show her how it is really done!!!

We had a tough night the other night. Someone who shall remain unnamed would not sleep in bed for anything. So mom stuffed her in the sling and well she slept like a baby!

Bubbles Bubbles and more Bubbles

oh yes I almost forgot. We saw the Boob Dr. yesterday and Lydia put on another lb in two weeks. She is in the 75% for weight so we are going good.We are no longer on probation and don't have to go back till the 4 month check up. official number:

3 months 12lbs 14oz.

We are on a roll!

ROLLING OVER!!!

We have reached a huge mile stone for Baby Bear, she rolled over today for the first time ever!! Daddy decided he wanted to practice with her a little. So with a little instruction of arm placement they were off and rolling. After about five minutes she was rolling on her own. So daddy would place her and she would roll... over and over again. One time she even rolled over "the other" direction of how he had set her up!

So turn your volume DOWN, cause in this first video mommy got a little too excited!

Enjoy!

I couldn't decide which one so you get both!

We also just returned from WA visiting Aunt Jen. However she has all the pics so if you want to check those out they are one the Griffin-Door blog... top right of our page!

2 months old

I have two colors for everyone to ponder while you look at the pics, red and blue! Grandma Ross has wanted a red head for years and I think she might have one! It will be exciting to see what happens... and yes it is as red as it looks in the pics. We shall see!!

11 lbs 6 oz 22.5 inches

According to the dr. she did not gain quite enough weight since the last weigh in. She is fine over all but I have to go back to the boob dr and see if she can help get the supply back up. We need to make those checks a little chubbier!!!

She is usually quite chipper in the morning so I got my camera out and went crazy!

All smiles.

This is on of her being a Conductor. Yes mom I DO play music for her!

She is working on her talking skills... this is what we have so far!

Mommy got her mid sentence!

Last weekend Grandma Billie walked in the 60mile Breast Cancer Walk. Lydia made her a few signs and we went to cheer her on. Lydia naturally was the hit of the show, ladies were walking by saying how cute she was, they were "walking for her", and some even stopped to take a pic. One lady asked to touch, I caved (against my best judgment) and said yes. She petted Lydias head and then went in for a KISS!!!!! I about passed out, that will be the last time I authorize touch from a stranger!

Smiles and Discoveries

We are finally starting to get some long awaited smiles out of her. And occasionally she will "ohhh and cooooo" a little as well. It is pretty exciting!

She is discovering that she can move a little. Mom might have helped her a bit to get the rattle in her hand!

Ohhhhhhh and then there was a surprise at the end!!!! I can't stop laughing, it is just like the super bowl commercial!

So Grandma Ross got her this little contraption, I think it goes on a car seat or something like that. Well I attached it to this and have been having her sit and check it out for a while now. She would just stare at it... or look away from it, out the window. The frog in the middle plays two really cute songs that I just love to hear. Well she FINALLY has started batting at it a little. Or her hands accidentally hit it, either way I was pretty excited about it.

We got this shirt from the Midwife that delivered her. She wore this to my 6 week check up and Janice just loved it. It says things like "change often, whisper i love you, fill every 3 hours", really cute.

She was supposed to be helping with the yard work but instead she was taking a little nap in the flowers. So much for child labor or company!

One Month Check Up

One Month Stats:
10.6 lbs
21.75 inches
Happy healthy baby!

This day it took her about 45 minutes to wake up to eat. I had moved her out of her crib, changed her diaper and had been messing with her, tickling, talking, and generally harassing her for quite some time. However this is the kid that slept through 45 min of vacuuming one day as well, right next to her crib!

Baby bear awake for a little while.

Here is the happy family

Our little yoda baby, you be the judge!!!
More sleeping...

Wrapped up after bath time.

Bundled up for an early morning walk... it's a little chilly here now!

Daddy holding the plug!
