Happy Thanksgiving Weekend

We did a thanksgiving project the weekend before! Here are the results! We forgot to take a pic with our special meal. I made my first ever turkey and it was delicious!!
Snow pics for bj.
Then mom decided it was time to bring out all the christmas stuff. Im kind of excited about it this year. Bear is old enough to enjoy it, it is winter so it feels like christmas and we didn't really do much at all last year. Here bear is wearing a stocking as a hat!
After nap we went out to play in the snow. Bear didn't want to wear her snow suit... and then didnt want her picture taken, so she is trying to hide from mom and the camera!
Daddy makes a snow angel.
Bear and daddy with the snowman. All bear wanted to know is if we were all done! she was not enjoying it at all. maybe next time!?

Happy Halloween!

Silver Mist... Tinkerbell's friend from the movie. It lasted about ten min before she was tugging at it and whining to take it off!
Testing out the head piece the day before!
Once she warms up to it, it will be a great dress up outfit... it came with pretty little wings as well!

Vacation

We went to Denver for Joshs vacation this last week to visit our old neighbors Monica, Barrett and Ryne. I of course didn't take my camera out till most of the week was over... but this is some of what we did while we were there....

Thanks Frains for all you did for us we really appreciate it.
We went to the Denver Zoo which was really a great zoo. It was cool out, the animals were all out playing and they even had a few babies as well.

Posing with the lizard.

Bear and Daddy try to be taller then the polar bear.... need a few more inches to make it!!

and comparing paw size.
The lions were out and very close... pretty cool
checking out the giraffes, they even had two little babies.
cheese face!
Ryne and Monica check out the tiger that was walking right by the window
waiting in line for the carousel ride
Ryne was a pro and wanted no help at all from mom! He loved it.
Bear rides with daddy.... and cries some more. We went on a train ride as well and she cried most of the time... no pics of that i was to busy trying to keep her from climbing out of the car!

We went to a farm/pumpkin patch to pick our own pumpkins. Monicas nephews came along to add to the fun. It was pretty cool, they had fields and fields of pumpkins, then some animals, bouncy houses and a little hay bale maze for the kids.
Max, Monica Manning and Ryne hunting for the "perfect" Halloween pumpkin! The boys had a great time.
Bear and daddy look for a pumpkin... bear was a crying mess. I think the vines were scratching and she cried the whole time, big surprise i know! fun!
Hanging around the house. Ryne and Bear having a snack and relaxing while they watch a little
kid tv.
I forgot to add these with the zoo pics.

Bear Turns TWO!!!!

We celebrated Bears birthday early so that Aunt Jen, Uncle Monte and Cousin Michelle could come down and join us. It was a small party but I think she had a good time and that is what is important! Thanks for coming down guys and making it a special weekend for bear!!
Here we sing happy birthday.... but wait till the last second... bear puts out her candle... mom cant believe it and daddy says ohhhhhh!!!!!!

Needless to say after the song she had a little spot on her finger... we all held are breath for a moment and then burst out laughing. I think we were all surprised by her methods... i guess i will know better for next year!

Posing with the pretty cake! We set her presents out christmas style.... cause half of them we couldn't be wrap! She starts playing with her kitchen from Jen, Monte and Michelle right away. She loves it.Daddy helps her try out her new bike. She currently hates it and cries every time we try it... mommy has to be patient... she will get around to it and then i think she will have a good time on it.
Michelle cant wait to get started with the coloring. Aunt Jen tries out the new bike! Bear sits at her new princess table from Uncle Tom and Aunt Connie! Thanks so much, she loves it! She asks to eat every meal here now.
A kiss to Tinkerbell, she was so happy to get her!
After she opened her Tinkerbell coloring books she took them right over to the table and got started!
Daddy is encouraging talking on the phone and driving... another habit to break in a few years!

Tinkerbell Cake

For some reason I decided I needed to make bear a Tinkerbell cake this year. So I got on line and started looking at cake pans. I was thinking of a shaped cake with a million little color coded starts to make a tinker.... well they only had one pan available and it was just her face.... so some girl with a blond ponytail. Then i got it in my head that i should just make up my own idea. Looked online again to get some inspiration and decided on a design.....
Now all i had to do was figure out how to make it. Thank god for the Internet. I watched a few YouTube videos and before you know it i was making flowers. I was way out of my league so i pre-made all the flowers cause that would have taken way to long for me to do on the spot. A million trips to Micheal's, a few books and alot of videos here is what we ended up with!!!
Surprising it was fun and it turned out pretty good.
Aunt Jen took some pics of the process...
Here we go, either it works or not! The good thing to know was if i had just taken an uniced cake and stuck tinker in it bear would have been happy. So the only pressure was just what i put on myself!
Pans pans and more pans of flowers
